Set up

  • Select the tab Profile and click on “Edit Profile”.
  • Select “Personal Information”.
  • Here you can enter and change your data.
  • Then select “Contact” to store your contact details.
  • Click on in order to finish.
  • Select the tab Profile an click “View profile”.
  • Here  you can change or reset your password.
  • Click on and select the desired language.
  • Click on Profile and select “View profile”.
  • Select  to connect AZUM system with Strava.
  • If you want all your activities (visible for “Everyone”, for “Followers” and “Only you”) to be synchronized with AZUM system, then make sure you tick the box
  • If you only want to synchronize the publicly visible trainings with AZUM system, tick the box only.
  • Then select
  • Click on Profil and choose “View profile”.
  • Copy the existing Sync-URL.
  • Subscribe to the AZUM calendar in your calendar application (see the instructions of the respective provider).
  • Click on Profile and choose “View profile”. Then select if you want to delete your AZUM system account irrevocably.
  • This function is only available for selfcoaches and basic athletes. Please contact the AZUM team at info@azum.ch if you are a coach or nutritionist and want to delete your account.

Analysis

  • Select profile an click on “Edit profile”.

  • Select a basal metabolic rate (BMR) calculation method and adjust the percentage of macronutrients to be taken in if necessary.

  • Select “Settings” to enter performance data for each sport that has intensity zones.
  • Enter maximum heart rate and best performance.
  • By clicking on  you can adjust the intensity zones, using

Goal setting

  • Select the dashboard view and click on  in the box “Goals” or click on the desired field in the agenda and select “Create a goal”.
  • Specify the “Goal type”, the “Realization” and add a “Description”.
  • Optionally you can enter further information about the goal.
  • Click on in order to finish.
  • Select the dashboard and click on in the box “Events” or click on the desired field in the agenda and select “Create a competition”.
  • Fill in the fields “Date”, “Importance”, “Description”, “Competition type” and “Duration”.
  • You can optionally add a weblink and a comment.
  • After the competition/event you can enter your result in the same field.
  • Click on  in order to finish.
  • Click on any field in the agenda.
  • Select “Create a macro” and choose the period and the desired phase for your macro plan.
  • Give the plan the desired description.
  • Click on in order to finish.
  • The gross hours are entered in the agenda by the athlete to inform the coach when, for how long and which sports can be trained.
  • Click in the agenda at the desired date in the field and select “Create gross hours”.
  • Indicate at which time of day, how many minutes and which sports you can train.
  • Click on in order to finish.
  • Click on any field in the agenda and select “Roll-out gross hours”.
  • Specify the period in which you want to set the gross hours.
  • By clicking on  the gross hours already planned in this period are transferred to the same weekdays of the following week(s).
  • Only gross hours can be rolled out that have been set in advance.

Realization

  • Click on the desired date in the agenda and select “Add training”.
  • Specify the training time and priority.
  • The “Training Editor” helps you to put together your training.
  • Click on and select the sport, unit, intensity and optional exercise.
  • To add more intervals click on and select the number of repetitions.
  • Interval pauses can be created by clicking on
  • Further exercises or other sports can be added by clicking on
  • If you know the codes well you can also work with the “Training code”.
  • On the right side you can see the composition of the training.
  • The watts, speed or heart rate data are based on the intensity zones of the respective athlete.
  • Click on  in order to finish.
  • Click on any field in the agenda and select “Create template”.
  • Select the period for which the workout(s) already created should be included in the template.
  • Tick “Training”, give the plan a name and select

  • Select the day on which the training should take place or the plan should start.
  • Choose your saved trainings/plans in the box “Templates” and click on

  • Now click on the icon in the athlete training view at the top right of each bike training and download it.

  • The “Nutrition Editor” helps you to put together your meals.
  • Click on and select the product type, the product, the quantity and the unit of measurement.

  • On the right side you can see the composition of your meal.

  • Select “Templates” to insert your saved meals/nutrition plans and select

  • Click on any field in the agenda and select “Create various events”.
  • Select the desired time period and event type.
  • Optionally add a description and a comment.
  • Click on  in order to finish.
  • Click on “Print plan” in the dashboard to print the next training.
  • To print the training for several days, enter the desired period in the dashboard. Click on in the “Plan selection” box.

Monitoring

  • Select Monitoring, here you can see the training statistics.
  • Fade in the desired parameters via the filter
  • Select the desired statistics period and set the interval selection
  • Choose if you want to see the sports or the intensity zones
  • By clicking on the desired bar in the diagram, the time per sport or the time per intensity zone is displayed.
  • Two bars next to each other show the comparison between planned training and executed training. The bar to the left of the date shows the planned time per sport or the planned intensity per sport. The bar to the right of the date shows the executed training time per sport or the executed training time per intensity zone.
  • The lines running from left to right show the feedback history.
  • Select Monitoring, here you can see the nutrition statistics.
  • Fade in the desired parameters via the filter 
  • Select the desired statistics period  and set the interval selection
  • By clicking on the desired bar in the diagram, the amount of macronutrients is displayed.
  • Two bars next to each other show the comparison between planned energy consumption (basal and active metabolic rate) and planned energy consumption. The bar to the left of the date shows the basal metabolic rate calculated on the basis of the values stored under “Edit profile” and the planned training sessions. The bar to the right of the date shows the effective planned amount of macronutrients.
  • Select Monitoring.
  • Click with the mouse on the desired bar in the window “Training stats”.
  • For each training session recorded with Strava, a blue number is displayed
  • Click on the number to go to the Strava website and analyse the training.
  • Any athlete who has a Strava account can link it to AZUM system. Training sessions recorded with Strava are then automatically synchronized and appear in the training statistics. You can find out more about linking Strava and AZUM system here.
  • Select Monitoring.
  • Choose  and then
  • Feedback can also be added directly to the dashboard in the atheletes view

  • Click on 
  • Enter the details of your company here, insert your logo and choose the desired colours. Select a colour from the colour template or use the desired hexadecimal code if you want the colour to match your CI/CD.

Athlete/customer handling​
  • Click on 
  • Enter a mail address in “Athlete/Customer invitation” to invite people to your AZUM system cloud.
  • Click on  when you have entered the email address.
  • Initially, your athlete/customer may not appear in your environment.
  • Click on and select “Admin”.
  • Click on “Persons” In the AZUM System administration
  • Click on the blue “PK”-Number at the corresponding athlete/customer.
  • Scroll down and tick “Is athlete”
  • Then select yourself as coach
  • Click on  to finish.
  • Go back to your AZUM system platform and refresh the page. Your athlete/customer will now appear in your environment.
  • As  and as  you can overlook and select all your athletes/customers in the dashboard view.
  • As a “Master Trainer” you can assign a coach to each athlete/customer. Go to the athlete/customer profile, click on profile, “Edit profile” and select a coach in “Settings”.
  • You can see which athlete/customer is assigned to which coach, until which date they have paid for training and/or nutrition plans and which competitions they have planned.
  • Click on  in order to finish.
  • If you click on  and select “Admin”, choose “Persons” and then click on the “PK number” of the desired athlete/customer to call up the detailed personal information.
  • Click in the agenda of your athlete/customer on the desired field and select “Create a note”.
  • Give the note a description and add a comment.
  • If you want to be reminded by mail check the box
  • The reminder will appear in your mailbox on the day of the event.
  • The note will only be visible to you as a coach/nutritionist and the reminder will only be sent to you.
  • Click on  in order to finish.

Sports and nutrition administration
  • Click on  and select “Admin”.
  • Click on “Sports” in the AZUM System administration. 
  • Then select “Add sport” in the upper right corner.
  • Give the sport a name, select a suitable icon, the colour and, if required, a Strava sport of the same type.
  • Click on  to finish.
  • Click on  and select “Admin”. 
  • Click on “Add” at “Sport codes” in the AZUM System administration.
  • Select the sport, choose the “Type” (in this case “Intensity”) and enter a code that does not yet exist.
  • Add a short and a long description and relative heart rate and/or pace values.
  • Click on  to finish.
  • Click on  and select “Admin”. 
  • Click on “Add” at “Sport codes” in the AZUM System administration.
  • Select the sport, choose the “Type” (in this case “Exercise”) and enter a code that does not yet exist.
  • Add a short and a long description

  • Select “Sport codes” in the AZUM System administration and click on the desired code.

  • Correct the errors by selecting the desired sport, choosing the “Type” (in this case “Intensity”) and entering a code that does not yet exist.

  • Click in the column “Code” on the desired blue number.
  • Scroll down and insert a link in the field “Url:”, which leads to a video or an image.
  • In the “Embed:” field you can insert the corresponding embed code (for example of a YouTube video) so that the video is displayed directly in AZUM system and no additional window needs to be opened.
  • Click on  to finish.
  • Click on and select “Admin”.
  • Choose “Select Types” on the bottom in the AZUM System administration.
  • Click on the desired type to change its color or name.
  • If you want to create a new type click on “Add select type” in the upper right corner.
  • Add a description, choose the kind of type and give it a color.
  • Click on  to finish.

Coupon system
  • You can save your training plans as a template, publish them with a coupon and make them available to athletes (free of charge or against payment).
  • Click on and select “Admin”.
  • Select “Add” in the AZUM System administration at “Coupons”.
  • Give the training plan a name (“Code”) and select the desired plan you created by choosing it at “Product”.
  • If required, select an expiry date and time.
  • To finish click on
  • Then click in your platform on  
  • Select a coupon in the “Promotional Campaign” window.
  • You can now copy and publish the generated link.
